Client Rights
When you receive any type of service for mental illness, alcoholism, drug abuse, or a developmental disability, you have the following rights under Wisconsin Statute Section 51.61(1) and Department of Health Services 94, Wisconsin Administrative Code (PDF). These rights also apply to all other services provided by the Chippewa County Department of Human Services (DHS).
Grievances
Consumer Resolution Request Forms should be returned to Chippewa County DHS to be reviewed by the Consumer Rights Grievance and Privacy Coordinator for next steps.
