Internship Process

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office internship is an unpaid program. The internship will include experiences in all areas of the department in order to become familiar with the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office. These areas include, but are not limited to, the Communications Center, Jail Division, Patrol Division, and Investigations.

The intern will be required to keep a weekly journal that encompasses their activities, thoughts, and experiences. Along with the weekly journal, a short paper will be due at the conclusion of the internship experience.

Applicant Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Enrolled in an accredited technical school or university
  • Criminal Justice or related major
  • 2.5 or better GPA
  • Pass a background check
  • Valid Driver's License

Applicants will be contacted shortly after the application deadline for an interview. One intern will be selected based on the application, resumé, and interview processes.
