Property Return Requests

Firearm Return

When the injunction expires or is vacated, you must first petition the court that issued the injunction by completing a form provided by the Clerk of Courts Office. The court will then order the Sheriff's Office to do a firearms records check. The Sheriff's Office will then forward the results to your judge, who will then make a decision as to whether or not your firearms will be returned. If ordered to return your firearms, we will need your current contact information.

Return of Evidence

Property seized as evidence cannot and will not be returned until the investigation is complete, the case is closed, and authorization to release the property has been provided by the District Attorney's Office. To retrieve property that was taken as evidence, please complete the Property Request Form. You may submit the request either in person during regular business hours or via email or mail.

View or download the Property Request Form (DOC).
