Sheriff Travis Hakes

I am honored to serve as the 56th Sheriff of Chippewa County. I will work hard to keep Chippewa County safe by making public safety my number one priority. I will strive to enhance the safety and security of Chippewa County residents by keeping officers on the streets, streamlining administrative functions, and minimizing costs. By coordinating with other local, state, and federal entities, we will ensure that the county's most important public safety needs are met while we achieve our goal of exemplary law enforcement and correctional services for Chippewa County.

I feel strongly that transparency of the Sheriff's department is important. Transparency leads to open discussions and builds community trust. I encourage you to call our office to speak with me and my staff about any suggestions you have regarding public safety, community policing, or anything else that you believe will help us enhance our delivery of service to the citizens of Chippewa County.

As your Sheriff, I am committed to the citizens of Chippewa County, and I plan to work with you to improve the quality of life for the current and future residents of our wonderful County.
