A Public Access Terminal is available in the Chippewa County Register of Deeds Office. The Public Access Terminal is free of charge and available for use during normal office hours.

In Chippewa County the tract index is available beginning in 1954, including all Certified Survey Maps and Plat maps. Images prior to 1954 are available back to 1854 by document number only. Please note: The index/image is not construed to be true and complete; rather, it is a working copy subject to error, omission, and future modification.

Tapestry EON

For years, Tapestry has been provided as a service for the quick, remote access to the official public record. The time has come for this version of the service to retire, but a new and improved tool - Tapestry EON - is available for you to start using. Tapestry EON will provide more tools for reliable searching, an updated user experience, and additional search criteria.

Important Reminders

• Tapestry EON will still allow for non-member searching with your credit card. Membership is not required.
• All prepay users are asked to create a new Tapestry EON account. This will ensure the most updated information and a clean transition for all users.
• If you are interested in additional training on the new features in Tapestry EON, please sign up for one of several free, live webinars. You will also be able to find recordings of previous webinars and help documents.
• Questions regarding the retirement of Tapestry should be emailed  to the Fidlar Technologies Support Team or addressed by calling 563-345-1283.
• If you made a prepay account on Tapestry, please make an effort to use all funds as soon as possible. If you are unable to do so, Fidlar Technologies will communicate a refund process.

Equipment Needed
You will need an internet browser that supports TLS 1.2 protocol. This includes the following browsers: Microsoft Edge (any Version), Mozilla Firefox (Version 27 or higher), Google Chrome (Version 38 or higher), Google Android OS Browser (Android 5.0 or higher), Apple Safari (Desktop Version 7 or higher, Mobile Version 5 or higher).  You also need Adobe Acrobat Reader to display document images.

Fees

• All searches cost $8.75. Each search can give you up to 200 listings. You can look at the detailed information about each document free of charge. If you want to print an image, the cost is $2 for the first page print and $1 for additional per page print.
