New 1 & 2 Family Dwellings Application Submittal Process
The Wisconsin Uniform Building Permit Application shall be filled out online at Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) Online Building Permit
. The Online Building Permit shall include the names, license numbers, contractor phone numbers, and mailing addresses for all contractors and subcontractors. Please remember to submit the Online Building Permit form to DSPS. In step 7, you will need to print out the application, which will include the confirmation page, and submit a hard copy to the Chippewa County Department of Planning and Zoning. If the form is incomplete or information is missing, it will not be accepted. Please Note: The online building permit application is used for all new 1 and 2-family dwellings only.

Other Projects on 1 & 2 Family Dwellings Application Submittal Process
All other projects, such as additions, alterations, decks, electrical permits, etc., on existing 1 and 2-family dwellings, will be required to submit a paper copy of the Uniform Dwelling Code Application:
