The Reentry Program is run in partnership with the UW-Madison Chippewa County Division of Extension and the Chippewa County Jail, striving to assist individuals transitioning back into the community from jail by providing the following:
- Assistance with developing a plan for goals they want to achieve, such as finding a job, signing up for benefits, applying for housing, etc.
- Valuable resources and information such as Goodwill vouchers, cab vouchers, hygiene kits, backpacks, chamber bucks, trac phones with minutes, etc.
- Assisting with scheduling medical care or treatment and getting benefits reactivated before release
Individuals sign up to meet with reentry before their release from jail and complete a self-assessment of their needs.
