Chippewa County Public Health is looking for students in grades 9 to 12 to share their voices to help shape public health policy. Youth Advisory Council members will:
- Advocate for their community in an inclusive, safe space
- Collaborate and learn from peers across the county
- Earn volunteer hours
- Gain experience in a professional setting
- Gain leadership skills
- Meet other youth from the county
Time commitment is anticipated to be about one hour per month through virtual platforms. Potential topics that will be covered are:
- Alcohol and drug prevention programming
- Health and well-being
- Health equity
- Social media safety
- Youth mental health
