Chippewa County is served by U.S. Highway 53 and State Highways 27, 40, 124, and 178, which run north and south through the County, and State Highways 29 and 64, which run east and west. Numerous other county and town roads link these highways to our cities, villages, and recreational areas throughout the County.

Air Service
The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport provides scheduled passenger and freight service. It is located between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls. Also, it is a 90-minute drive to the Minneapolis International Airport via I-94W, where there is commercial airport access, including cargo facilities serviced by UPS, FedEx, Emory, and DHL. Since January 1999, the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport has been jointly operated by Eau Claire County and Chippewa County pursuant to an Ownership and Operation Agreement.
