This team provides hands-on health services and prevention tools to protect individuals and families. Whether it's a vaccine or a life-saving dose of NARCAN® (naloxone), they meet people where they are to promote safety and well-being. They also provide communicable disease consultation, outbreak response, and education to help individuals and communities prepare for and respond to public health threats.

• Provide vaccines, reproductive health care, and STI testing.
• Distribute NARCAN® (naloxone) and offer overdose prevention tools and education.
• Support pregnant people and young children through home visits and case management.

We make sure the places where you eat, swim, and stay are safe.

This team protects community health through licensing, inspections, and education. Their work ensures that businesses follow safety standards and test water at beaches and public and private wells so you can enjoy daily life with peace of mind.

• Inspect and license restaurants, hotels, pools, tattoo studios, and more.
• Investigate complaints about unsafe conditions.
• Help businesses stay compliant with state health and safety regulations.

We keep everything running so services stay strong and responsive.

Our administrative team powers the behind-the-scenes work that allows public health services to run smoothly. From staffing to budgeting, they keep the department organized and effective.

• Oversee department finances and purchasing.
• Manages internal systems, records, and our free medical loan closet.
• Support staff with day-to-day logistics.

Our Nutrition team supports parents and caregivers with what they need by providing:

• Healthy foods
• Nutrition and feeding tips from Registered Dietitians
• Breastfeeding education and support, including help obtaining breast pumps
• Connection to community resources, including health insurance and other program application assistance

This team leads the long-term work that helps our department and community thrive. From shaping the county's health improvement plan to supporting the Chippewa County Healthy Communities coalition, quality improvement, and strategic direction, we help create the conditions for progress. They also lead programs for children and youth with special health care needs, helping families get timely support through coordinated systems.

• Connect families to support through the Children's Resource Center (CRC)-West and serve as the single entry point for key children's programs.
• Lead department-wide strategy, quality improvement, and communication efforts.
• Bring partners together to build and carry out countywide health improvement plans.
