Dog Damage Claims

To File a Dog Damage Claim

1. Owner reports a dog damage claim within 3 days of occurrence to town, village, or city clerk or the town's chairperson or village president.
2. Governing body of municipality where damage occurred investigates the claim. The Affidavit of Investigating Committee is completed and filed with the County Clerk's office within 30 days of receipt of damage.
3. Upon review of the Claim of Damage to Animals, the claims will be acted upon and determined by the County Board as other claims are determined and acted upon.
