Overview
Chippewa County, WI, was established in 1848 and has an estimated population of 66,000. Chippewa County is divided into 15 supervisory districts, and each district has a representative on the County Board of Supervisors. In April 2022, the County Board size will increase to 21 supervisory districts. Chippewa County government is operated under an administrative form of government, and the County Administrator reports to the County Board. The annual County general operating budget is approximately $99 million.
