We’ve been receiving many calls about Medicare Advantage and Drug plans terminating or changing for 2026. Many people in Chippewa County will need to review their options and take action. Although we encourage everyone to review their plans every annual open enrollment, there are two main reasons why it’s especially important this year:
- Some plans are no longer accepting Mayo Clinic as an in-network provider, which includes Humana and United Healthcare.
- There are 13 Medicare Advantage plans ending on December 31, 2025 in Chippewa County. Due to this specific scenario, we highly encourage people to register for our Medicare and You class to learn about their options with the special opportunity to join a Supplement *regardless of health status* due to their plan termination.
- There are 6 Medicare Part D (drug) plans in Chippewa County either terminating, or "crosswalking" into a completely different drug plan automatically.
To met the high demand for assistance, we’ve created self help packets that are tailored to the above scenarios and walk you through your Medicare options. Request a packet: 715-726-7777 or download the packet on our Open Enrollment webpage.
