As of January 16, 2026, Signs and Private Wells are the only on-line applications being accepted.
Catalis - Online Permit Submissions
On October of 2024, Chippewa County transitioned to a new permitting program that allows for the submittal of permits and fees through a web portal. In January of 2026, we activated the sign and well permit applications. Please continue to use paper applications for the other applications such as, but not limited to: addresses, sanitary permits and zoning, until further notice.
Please note online submittals will be charged a credit card fee of 2.99%.
Applications can be submitted online once an account is set-up (see directions below).
Online Account Set-up
Go to the Chippewa County Public Portal (Catalis). Fill in the first name, last name and email address of the individual who will be entering the permit information. (Note: This is only for the registration of a new account.)
Select “Create Account”. This will take you to a page where you will enter a password.
Once the password is set, you’ll receive an email that requires you to confirm your email address.
Once the email is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email stating the account has been activated and a link to the Public Portal.
