Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide support and guidance to county employees and elected officials while cultivating a collaborative environment where every employee has the opportunity to feel valued, be engaged, and be empowered to contribute to the County's mission and community's success.

Vision Statement

The Human Resources Division aspires to continuously build a strong, effective, and efficient Human Resources operations, systems, and processes that:

• Harness the collective strengths and potential of every employee by working diligently to create a welcoming, productive, safe, healthy, and fun culture.
• Uphold, develop, implement, and administer fair, consistent, and compliant labor contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Maximize organizational effectiveness and engagement by assisting leadership in attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining skilled, passionate, and positive employees.
• Advocate for fair, consistent, equitable, and innovative development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits.
• Nurture a culture of growth, trust, and collaboration that encourages the overall well-being and engagement of our employees.

Value Statement

1. Welcoming / Approachable - We strive to greet one another, employees, elected officials, and the public with a warm, friendly smile and to create an environment that is open, available, and easy for people to ask questions, get and give advice and overall communicate with ease with us.
2. Communication - We provide clear, thorough, frequent, proactive, open, honest, consistent communication to ensure that one another and employees have the information they need to make the best decisions they can. We also try to be as concise and respectful of our employees' time as possible by offering multiple methods of communication so an employee can choose what works best for them.
3. Teamwork - We value working together and helping each other. We believe that each team member comes with unique skills and strengths, and we value all the unique combinations of strengths and lean into one another's diverse contributions to assist in being more efficient and making the best possible decisions.

5. Joy / Fun / Play - We love to play, laugh, and create an environment that is joyful and fun to be around. We deal with some heavy or tough issues at times, so we feel it is even more important to work hard at bringing laughter into the office and those we work with.

7. Passion - We love the work we do (Human Resources) and who we do the work for (our employees). We are driven and enthusiastic about our jobs and desire to provide strong customer service that is accurate, positive, organized, and lawful. We are driven to learn and grow professionally and proud of the meaningful work we are privileged to provide the County daily.
