Recycling

Tasks:

• Manages County recycling and solid waste management programs
• Provides recycling assistance to local towns, cities and villages
• Sponsors household hazardous waste, appliances, and tire collections
• Administers and enforces County Recycling, Litter, and Solid Waste Disposal Ordinances

Chippewa County will be providing residents with a special clean-up to dispose of their household hazardous wastes, appliances, electronics, fluorescent bulbs, and scrap metal in an environmentally safe manner (See Recycling Programs and Services Tab). Improper disposal of these products can cause fires and injuries to people and animals as well as groundwater contamination.
